The UT Arlington women’s basketball team secured their third consecutive win with a close 62-58 victory over Southern Utah on the road. This win brought their overall record to 11-7 and their conference record to 6-1, placing them near the top of the Western Athletic Conference standings. Head coach Shereka Wright achieved her 75th career win, moving her into fifth place on the all-time wins list in program history. Avery Brittingham and Koi Love led the team with a combined 44 points, with Brittingham recording her 10th double-double of the season. The Lady Mavs struggled offensively in the first half but managed to tie the game at halftime. Southern Utah held the lead in the third quarter but the Lady Mavs fought back and secured the win in the final minutes. The team is set to face Utah Tech next on Saturday.
