UNLV Basketball Looks to Rebound Against Utah State
After a surprising win over Utah State a couple of weeks ago, UNLV is facing off against the Aggies once again in hopes of getting back on track. The game will take place on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan, Utah, with coverage on FS1.
During their last meeting, UNLV dominated in second-chance points, utilizing strong offensive rebounding to secure a victory. However, Utah State’s zone defense made it difficult for them to box out effectively. UNLV will need to adapt and find other ways to generate points if the Aggies change their defensive strategy.
Kevin Kruger’s squad will also focus on shutting down Utah State’s leading scorer, Ian Martinez, particularly in critical defensive possessions. Additionally, UNLV will rely on sophomore point guard D.J. Thomas to come through in clutch moments, as he has been tasked with securing wins in close games.
With UNLV having a record of 11-9 and Utah State at 18-2, this matchup will be one to watch as both teams strive for victory.
