Former Republican President Donald Trump has won Utah for the third presidential election in a row, with 56.56% of the vote. Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democrat, had 41.15% of the vote. In the past, Utah voters have favored Trump, with 45.5% in 2016 and 58.13% in 2020. When Utah Republicans were polled on their preferred presidential nominee, 56.4% chose Trump. However, caucus meeting turnout was below 10%.
Trump’s victory in Utah comes months after Governor Spencer Cox endorsed him, despite previous criticism. Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson chose not to endorse any candidate, criticizing those who sow doubt and chaos in politics.
