Eastern Washington University’s men’s basketball team faced a tough loss against Utah in the final matchup of the Mountain to Sea Showcase. Despite the defeat, players Andrew Cook and Emmett Marquardt were named to the All-Tournament Team for their standout performances throughout the tournament. Cook led the team with 23 points, supported by Sebastian Hartmann, Nic McClain, and Marquardt.
The Eagles put up a strong fight in both halves of the game, maintaining a competitive edge against Utah. However, Utah’s consistent scoring and strong defense ultimately led them to an 88-80 victory. Eastern Washington will now regroup and prepare for upcoming games against North Dakota and South Dakota State.
