Moving forward, Democrats plan to focus on messaging and building a separate brand from the national party. While acknowledging some successes in the election, such as the performance of Kamala Harris in Utah, they recognize the need to slowly make progress at lower levels. Despite the challenges faced in the recent election, Democrats remain committed to their long-term goal of winning more seats and eventually challenging the Republican dominance in the state.
