Utah Valley University suffered an 83-63 loss to North Dakota State at the Samford Thanksgiving Invitational, with Carter Welling scoring 15 points and Osiris Grady adding 10 for the Wolverines. This defeat marked the end of a tough three-game stretch in three days for Utah Valley, who finished their southern road trip with a 2-2 record. The team now stands at 4-3 overall for the season. Despite leading briefly at 6-5, Utah Valley could not hold on as North Dakota State dominated with 14 made three-pointers. UVU shot 44.4% from the field while North Dakota State had a 55.3% shooting percentage. Although UVU outrebounded the Bison and had more paint points, they could not overcome the shooting efficiency of their opponents. The Wolverines will now look to bounce back as they continue their road trip with a game against Stanford on December 3.
