Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) recently inaugurated its new Engineering and Technology Center in Hilliard, Ohio, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by company executives and government officials. The $65 million state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to product engineering, materials science, and manufacturing technologies, with a focus on developing advanced stormwater solutions to manage water and protect communities.
The center houses labs for product development, hydraulics, and advanced technologies, as well as material science laboratories for testing capabilities. With a 90,000-gallon closed-loop recyclable water system, ADS can replicate real-world conditions to test its products.
ADS President and CEO Scott Barbour emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in designing products to meet the growing need for stormwater management solutions. The company aims to develop products that can prevent floods, recharge aquifers, improve food security, mitigate water scarcity risks, and enhance quality of life in communities.
As weather patterns become more extreme, the demand for effective stormwater management solutions increases. The ADS Engineering and Technology Center represents a significant investment in research and development to address these challenges and offer sustainable water management solutions.
The new facility is expected to serve as a hub for engineering, scientific research, and technological innovation, allowing ADS to continue leading the way in the stormwater and wastewater management industries.
