Stacey Williams, a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, came forward this week with an allegation that she was groped by Donald Trump while Jeffrey Epstein watched. Williams shared her story during a public Zoom call organized by survivors for Kamala Harris, where she discussed her experience with sexual violence. Williams, who is a registered Democrat, stated that her decision to come forward was in part related to the upcoming election, and she expressed her fear of Trump being re-elected.
Williams first met Epstein in 1992 and recalled an incident in 1993 where Trump allegedly groped her while both men were smiling and speaking calmly. She described feeling confused, humiliated, and disgusted during the encounter. Williams decided to speak out about the incident after years of feeling shame and blaming herself. She was interviewed for a film two years ago where she mentioned being groped by a former president in front of Epstein but did not name Trump.
Several people who knew Williams said she had previously shared her story with them, with some recalling details like a postcard from Trump that Williams showed them. Williams stated that she was ready to tell her story publicly, especially with the upcoming election and the “Access Hollywood” tape from 2005 resurfacing. Despite facing allegations of sexual misconduct from numerous women in recent years, Trump has continued to deny all allegations. Williams emphasized the harmful impact of sexual assault and expressed her readiness to confront the backlash that may come from sharing her story.
