Lebanon in shock as pager attack leaves us isolated, tired, and scared

Hezbollah held a swift funeral for their fallen comrade in Beirut, with attendees warily aware of recent explosions in the city. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah spoke after the burial, vowing to continue fighting despite the recent attacks. In Rmeish, a Christian town near the Lebanese-Israeli border, Israeli airstrikes were heard, causing fear and uncertainty among residents. The attacks and anticipation of retaliation have become a familiar, yet stressful, routine in Lebanon. Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant hinted at a new phase in the conflict, leading to speculation about a full-scale war. Despite the uncertainty, Hezbollah’s supporters expressed faith in Nasrallah’s leadership and readiness to face whatever comes next. The recent attacks have raised tensions in the region, but Hezbollah remains resolute in their cause and readiness to retaliate.
