Officials in Kentucky have found a body near where a shooting spree occurred on Interstate 75, leading to a manhunt for Joseph A. Couch. The shooting left five people injured, and the gunman used an AR-15 rifle purchased legally the day of the attack. Twelve vehicles were hit, and around 20 to 30 rounds were fired. Authorities have been searching for Couch, a former Army reservist, using helicopters, drones, and trained dogs across thousands of acres of rugged terrain. Couch faces charges of attempted murder and assault, with a prior charge of making a terrorist threat dismissed earlier in the year. A woman who shares a child with Couch received a chilling message from him just before the shooting, indicating his intention to harm others. There is no known motive for the attack, and officials do not believe Couch was targeting anyone in particular or working with others. The discovery of the body raises questions about the fate of Couch and the possibility of bringing him to justice for the violent incident on the highway.
