With only a few weeks left in the regular season, the NFL playoff race is heating up. There are currently eight teams with eight wins or more, the highest number of teams at this point in the season since 2002. The Eagles, Chiefs, and 49ers are among the top-ranked teams as of Week 13, but five teams are within one game of each other vying for the wildcard spots. The playoff contention will likely come down to the wire, and the season still has its share of surprises in store. The Jaguars and the Steelers have both secured big wins recently, with the Jaguars advancing to a 6-0 record away from home. The Broncos have also turned their season around with their fifth straight win, putting them back into the AFC playoffs discussion.
However, franchises like the Lions and Rams continue to struggle, facing several losses in recent matchups. The Panthers, meanwhile, have only managed to secure one win in the season so far. Although these rankings are valid for Week 13, all the teams are preparing for significant matchups as they aim for a playoff spot. These matchups will undoubtedly decide who makes it to the playoffs and who is left out.
